RioCan has asked to meet with the LPOA board and we understand that they are working on revised plans.
It’s a good sign! It appears that upping our game at the Local Planning Appeal Board (replacement for the OMB) and making sure the community is well aware of the concerns with the latest plans may be getting RioCan’s attention.
The Leaside Residents Association (formerly Leaside Property Owners' Association) Board meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month (unless otherwise noted*) at Trace Manes Community Centre, 110 Rumsey Road. All Leaside residents are welcome to attend.
The LRA Annual General Meeting is usually held in November or December. The date, time, and location will be posted approximately one month beforehand.

The LRA is a volunteer organization and we run on a shoestring. Your donations can help us publicize and hold public meetings as issues arise, hire professional consultants as needed, write reports and present them as deputants to City Hall and the Ontario Municipal Board, and keep you informed on all upcoming developments in Leaside.
Tonight, @TNOtoronto is hosting a public information session on tenants' rights in Flemingdon and Thorncliffe Park from 6:30-8:30PM at 1 Leaside Park Drive. For more information, contact Hafiz Khan at email@example.com. - LK
